No. We auto-prefix https:// if you don't include it. However, we recommend always using HTTPS for security.

Can I track how many people scan this QR?

The web tool creates static QR codes. For scan tracking, use the iOS app which supports dynamic QR codes with full analytics.

Is there a limit on URL length?

QR codes can encode up to about 4,296 characters, but shorter URLs produce cleaner, more scannable codes. Aim for under 100 characters when possible.

Do these QR codes expire?

No. Static QR codes never expire. They encode the URL directly and work forever as long as the destination URL stays live.

What size should I print a URL QR code?

The rule of thumb is 1 inch of QR code per 10 inches of scanning distance. A business card needs at least 1 inch, a poster viewed from 10 feet needs 12 inches square.

Why does my QR code work on iPhone but not Android?

Almost always a contrast or quiet zone problem. Older Android cameras are stricter about minimum contrast (7:1 recommended) and the white margin around the code (4 modules wide).

Can I edit a URL QR code after creating it?

Static QR codes cannot be edited because the URL is encoded directly. To change the destination later, point the QR to a redirect URL you control or use a dynamic QR service.

Why is my QR code blurry when printed?

Download the SVG format for any printed material. SVG scales without losing quality. PNG and JPG can become blurry when sized up beyond their original resolution.
