QR Codes for Bars
Stop reprinting menus every week. Put a QR code on every coaster and update your drinks list in seconds.
Digital Drink Menus
Bars change their cocktail list far more often than restaurants change entrees. A QR code on coasters, bar edges, and table cards that links to your live digital menu eliminates the weekly reprint cycle. Seasonal cocktails, price changes, and sold-out spirits update in minutes on the web page without replacing a single printed coaster.
For craft cocktail bars, digital menus let you include longer descriptions, provenance stories, and pairing notes that a printed menu cannot fit. Guests engage more deeply, and staff gets fewer What is in this? questions.
Happy Hour & Specials
Print window decals with a QR code linking to today's happy hour, featured flight, or DJ schedule. Passers-by scan and decide to walk in without crossing the threshold first — a powerful conversion from foot traffic.
For themed nights (trivia, karaoke, live music), dedicated QR codes on flyers and sandwich boards link directly to the RSVP page or ticket sales.
Music Requests & Interactive Features
A QR code at the bar linking to a jukebox queue, DJ request form, or Spotify collaborative playlist turns guests into co-creators of the atmosphere. Requires minimal staff effort and dramatically improves repeat visits.
For larger venues, a trivia or bingo QR code linked to a live game drives engagement during slow hours and turns Monday nights into busy nights.
Event Tickets & Door Covers
Print QR tickets for ticketed events (DJ nights, comedy shows, private parties). Doormen scan at the door — no paper wristbands, no manual list-crossing. Bulk-generate unique codes using our bulk QR generator.
For repeat-attendee rewards, a loyalty QR code on receipts tracks visits across a month — tenth visit gets a free drink. Tie it to a simple Airtable or Google Sheet backend.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will QR codes on coasters survive spilled drinks?
Use waterproof laminated coasters or vinyl stickers applied to plastic coasters. Standard paper coasters soak through in under an hour. UV-coated printed coasters last two to three weeks in typical bar conditions.
Should every table have its own QR code?
Not necessary for menus — one code per coaster or bar edge is plenty. Per-table codes are worth it only if you implement table-specific ordering (order from table 4) which requires backend setup most bars do not need.
