Why Add a Logo to Your QR Code?

Brand Recognition

Users instantly recognize your brand. A logo turns a generic QR code into a branded touchpoint.

Higher Scan Rates

Branded QR codes get 30–50% more scans than plain ones. People trust what they recognize.

Professional Look

Custom QR codes on business cards, packaging, and marketing materials show attention to detail.

Best Practices for Logo QR Codes

  • Use a simple, high-contrast logo — avoid complex illustrations with many fine details
  • Keep the logo under 25% of the QR code area for reliable scanning
  • Use square logos when possible — they center best inside the QR code
  • Test your QR code on multiple devices before printing
  • Choose high error correction (automatic when you upload a logo)
  • Use SVG export for large-format printing — it scales without pixelation

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add a logo to my QR code?

Open any QR type generator on QR Generate, expand the 'Customize' panel, and click 'Upload Logo.' Select an image (PNG or JPG, max 2 MB). The logo is automatically centered on your QR code.

Will the QR code still scan with a logo?

Yes. When you add a logo, error correction is automatically set to the highest level (H — 30%). This means up to 30% of the QR code can be covered and it will still scan reliably.

What logo size works best?

Keep your logo under 20–25% of the total QR code area. Our tool automatically sizes and centers the logo for optimal scanning. Square logos work best, but rectangular logos are also supported.

Can I customize colors and dot styles too?

Yes. You can change the foreground and background color, choose from 6 dot styles (square, rounded, dots, classy, classy-rounded, extra-rounded), 3 corner square styles, and 2 corner dot styles. You can also enable gradient mode.

What formats can I download?

You can download your branded QR code as PNG (raster) or SVG (vector). SVG is ideal for print — it scales to any size without losing quality.

Is it really free?

100% free. No signup, no watermark, no limits. Create as many branded QR codes as you need.
